As of the 30th January, there has been a confirmed case of the new type of corona virus in Kyoto Prefecture. However there is no need to be alarmed, and we ask that alongside maintaining calm you should:
・ Wear a mask
・ Make sure to thoroughly wash your hands
These should be done alongside any other preventative measures you would normally carry out in order to avoid catching the flu.
Furthermore, Kyoto Prefecture has several information resources designed especially for international residents. There is a telephone consultation line, details for important information that is required when undertaking a medical consultation, and other such information available on the Kyoto Prefecture's homepage.
