■Frank Evans
Frank Evans was born in Cribyn, near the Town of Lampeter, on the 23rd of May, 1917. He became a soldier, and was serving in the Second World War when he was captured by the Japanese army in Hong Kong, in the year 1941. He was later sent to Japan in 1943, where he stayed until returning home at the end of the war. Since then he worked in Cardiganshire County, in Wales.
In his later years he made great efforts to promote peaceful cultural exchange between the Town of Kaya and the Town of Aberystwyth. Frank, who was popular and loved by many, passed away on the 6th of November, 1996, at the age of 79 years old.
